KCF Technologies, Inc. seeks to hire a full time employee to perform embedded software development and device integration for embedded software projects. The candidate should be dynamic and adaptable to an entrepreneurial research technology company. Desirable characteristics include: expertise in embedded software development, ability to work independently, capable of multitasking, and willingness for project ownership, with exceptional written and oral communication skills. Additional relevant skills include: knowledge of acoustics and vibration, smart materials, and underwater devices.

Responsibilities include:

• Development of embedded software
• Test of embedded control software at both system and component levels
• Documentation of embedded software, i.e. state diagrams, program flow documents
• Proposal and report writing
• Must be a US Citizen

Position Requirements:

• BSEE, BSCS or equivalent with 5+ years of experience
• Experience with embedded software development, preferably with the MSP430
• Experience with embedded C, assembly and Matlab a plus
• Interpret embedded system technical specifications and to develop corresponding functional tests
• Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings, electronic schematics, and component datasheets
• Familiar with simulation and debugging tools
• Experience using electronic test equipment, including but not limited to oscilloscope, logic analyzer, DMM
• Comfort and skill with soldering and circuit board prototyping
