Summary of Position:

KCF Technologies, Inc. seeks to hire a full-time employee to perform mechanical design on various projects. The candidate should be dynamic and adaptable to an entrepreneurial research technology company. Desirable characteristics include: ability to work independently, comfortable with and capable of multitasking, and desire for project ownership, with exceptional writer and oral communication skills. Additional relevant skills include: knowledge of acoustics and vibration, smart materials, and underwater devices.

Responsibilities include:

Mechanical product conceptualization and development using SolidWorks
FEA using SolidWorks Simulation
Hands on prototype creation using mill, lathe, and other shop tools
Testing
Participation in multi-disciplinary product development teams
Proposal and report writing
Must be a US Citizen

Job Requirements:

BSME or equivalent, with an emphasis in vibration or acoustics a plus
5+ years experience in mechanical design using SolidWorks
Strong hands on ability a must. Excellent CNC skills and strength in manual machining techniques are an advantage
Ability to quickly and professionally visually communicate mechanical concepts
Matlab, LabView, and C/C++ programming ability a plus.
Knowledge of beginning electrical engineering a plus
